Houston, we have a concert...

Mr. Miner & I trekked over to Houston last weekend so that he could do a gig with Daniel Wheeler & Ben Sims. I enjoyed their set, especially the surprise Britney Spears medley!

Thursday Treats...

This morning, Carl & I got up at 4:45am to be at the Four Seasons Hotel by 5:30am for a live SXSW radio broadcast. We watched Blues Mafia, North Mississippi Allstars, The Hours and Erin McCarley!

Then tonight, I took my Little Sister to Amy's Ice Cream. She ambitiously ordered a banana split with two kinds of vanilla ice cream, belgian chocolate ice cream, sprinkles, gummy bears, and hot fudge. Ugh. ;)

This is Grace Schmidhauser and she has divalicious written all over her! She performed at our Stupid Cupid event and stopped by our office beforehand to give us an impressive sample of her musical stylings. She sings, plays guitar, said her favorite band is Guns & Roses, and she's 9 years old. Totally badass. I really want to write songs for her!

Love Songs you Love to Hate...

So, we're doing this extremely awesome Vday show next month. I hired two hilarious souls, Dave & Rachel Buckman of The Frank Mills to come in and host some audience-participation segments during the evening, like The Newlywed Game. :)

NOW I NEED YOUR HELP! We were trying to decide what type of songs we want to do, then Carl came up with the great idea to have a "Love Songs you Love to Hate" theme. Will you give me your suggestions?? What songs do you bash when you're around friends, yet pump the volume for when you're alone in your car?? Music you only enjoy because it's covered in cheese, but that cheese is sooo creamy and delicious that you don't worry about how you look while you take it all in.
