Love Songs you Love to Hate...
NOW I NEED YOUR HELP! We were trying to decide what type of songs we want to do, then Carl came up with the great idea to have a "Love Songs you Love to Hate" theme. Will you give me your suggestions?? What songs do you bash when you're around friends, yet pump the volume for when you're alone in your car?? Music you only enjoy because it's covered in cheese, but that cheese is sooo creamy and delicious that you don't worry about how you look while you take it all in.
Email me or leave a comment here, por favor! I'll post our set list once we narrow it down. Thx!!
Oh and let me know if you can make it to the show!! Yow!!

Thanks, McLovey! I knew I could count on you for some "good" recommendations. I found it amusing that you put two of MY songs on the list. :)

Oh, I SO love this cheese!! O.K., so first off, I found myself singing "Sailing" by Christopher Cross on the way home from work today. I had no idea that NSYNC did this song too- super cheese. And for a little trivia...VH1 named this song the greatest soft rock song of all time. So I also had to break into my 80's CD collection and found the 80's "From the Heart CD" This CD rocks. It's got some great air guitar tunes:
When I See You Smile - Bad English
When I'm with You - Sheriff
More Than Words Can Say - Alias
The Flame - Cheap Trick
Second Chance - Thirty Eight Special
Can't Fight This Feeling - REO Speedwagon
The Search is Over - Survivor
Angel Eyes - The Jeff Healey Band
Sister Christian - Night Ranger
So I just had to put this CD in. Man, it's good. So another I'd add is anything from Chicago- can't get any more love-cheesy than that. Oh- and "Angel" by Aerosmith. Can you tell I love the 80's?! For a more recent tune - James Blunt's "You're Beautiful" - I can really break it down to that one in the car.
And YES, Aaron & I will be there- can't wait! BTW, was just curious...what ever happened to the Mr. Rogers night?

What about "Joanna, I Love You" by Kool and the Gang.
And what about Captain and Tanille (sorry spelling's wrong). I liked them. They were from a time period when sweet, sappy songs were embraced and well loved just for the pure joy of it.

Okay, last entry.
The Righteous Brothers – You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin'
Every Breath You Take - The Police (actually this is a song about
stalking, but if one didn't know that it would be a great love song...
I guess stalking is a perverted kind of love)

The one that popped into my mind was "afternoon delight"….I'm not sure who sings it, but it is so cutesy… I do have a special request…could you sing the Roberta Flack song "The first time ever I saw your face" - Robert loved that one….
